Das Gewächshaus, by Pau Aran Gimeno with Of Curious Nature, asks how bodies are socially read, categorized, and judged—and how these attributions relate to their lived physical experience. Inspired, among others, by Miquel Missé and Brigitte Baptiste, the work explores the body as a living, mutable structure shaped by multiple connections. Between imposed legibility and embodied experience, between systems of order and biodiversity, identity appears not as something fixed, but as a dynamic process. The title Das Gewächshaus—The Greenhouse—refers to a space of growth that also entails protection and regulation. In this way, the greenhouse becomes a metaphor for bodies moving between adaptation and resistance, between individual experience and social categorization. Together with the dancers of Of Curious Nature, Das Gewächshaus ultimately opens up perspectives on the body as a diverse, vulnerable, and shared form of life.
